Simon founded Gastronomy, a large corporate outsource organization turned charity, which has provided over 4 million meals per year to the homeless.
As Regional Growth Manager at ChristchurchNZ, Simon supported economic growth, leading projects contributing to:
$182M GDP through supporting the startup ecosystem
Workforce work attracting 4500 knowledge intensive workers
Business case that led to a Car-T cell biotech cancer facility
Supporting Pratt and Whitney’s $1B GDP per year expansion
Most recently in his role at Ministry of Awesome as Head of Partnerships, Simon oversaw Partnership Management and the implementation of Startup Aotearoa and the Auckland Incubator - aimed at boosting founder capability and elevating the success of startups in New Zealand, increasing funding 250% during his tenure.
Simon's also holds Chair roles with Te Reo Whirinui o Ngāti Kikopiri (Language Revitalisation Strategy for Ngāti Kikopiri) and Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū - Banks Peninsula Geopark.
